Established in 2008 by two jewellers, Clare Grennan and Laura Caffrey, Irish Design Shop is a small business that prides itself on promoting the work of some of Ireland’s most exciting designer-makers. Trading both online and from a brick-and-mortar shop in Dublin town, an emphasis is placed on original design and craftsmanship. In 2018, an additional floor was added to the shop with a focus on showcasing the in-house jewellery collection Names. Central to the space, there is a functioning jeweller’s workbench where customers can see work in production. Established and emerging makers are represented across both shop floors, the common thread being a passion for the handmade, and an appreciation for Irish heritage crafts.

Kilkenny Shop has been at the forefront of promoting the finest Irish craft and design for over 50 years and is home to Ireland’s largest collection of Irish designers.
