Westin Dublin Covid-19 Statement

Dear valued friends and guests,

My team and I are dedicated to delivering exceptional service while ensuring that our guests and associates feel comfortable and confident during their experience at the Westin Dublin.  We wish to express our gratitude to the local health authorities, medical personnel and frontline responders for their continued efforts in safeguarding the health and wellbeing of our community.

We  want to assure you that we are adhering to or exceeding all recommendations for safety, sanitation and social distancing from the Irish government and Marriott International.

We trust that these steps will provide you with a sense of comfort that the measures taken are in your best interest and the best interest of our associates.

Covid 19 Health and Safety Measures

Below you will find information about some changes you can expect when you arrive and during your stay at the hotel.

Face Masks

The wearing of facemasks is required in all public areas of the Hotel and can be removed when you are seated at your table in the Bar or Restaurant.

Covid Vaccination / Covid Passport

Please be advised that if you are attending an event (excluding weddings) or dining in one of our food and beverage outlets, including breakfast, you will be required to present evidence of vaccination against Covid 19 along with valid identification prior to entry. This is applicable for hotel residents and non hotel residents.

Fáilte Ireland Covid 19 Safety Charter

We are certified by the Fáilte Ireland Covid 19 Safety Charter.  The Safety Charter demonstrates that we are operating in line with current Government public health advice and with safety and cleaning protocols in place.

Associates

Each associate has undertaken training specifically on COVID-19 and related safety and sanitation protocols.  Established by the experts on Marriott’s Cleanliness Council who are also currently developing role-specific training for hotel teams with frequent guest contact including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Public Areas, Hotel Operations and Security.

Our associates are wearing personal protective equipment and training has been provided on how to wear and remove PPE safely.

Public spaces

In our public spaces and high-traffic areas, we are going above and beyond our normal protocols. We are cleaning surfaces with increased frequency, dedicated staff, and recommended cleaning agents.

Hand sanitising stations are present at hotel entrances, front desks, elevator banks, and meeting spaces.

Signage is in place throughout the hotel to remind our guests to maintain social distancing.

Food and Beverage outlets

Morelands Grill, The Mint Bar and the Atrium Lounge have been modified to ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered too and some changes to food and beverage service have been implemented in accordance with current food safety recommendations.

We encourage paying with credit or debit card or room charge.

All tables and seating areas will be sanitised after each use.  A maximum of 6 adults or 15 adults and children is permitted per table and no multiple tables are permitted.

Our associates are wearing personal protective equipment and training has been provided on how to wear and remove PPE safely.

In line with the most recent guidelines, Morelands Grill, The Mint Bar and The Atrium Lounge will close to non residents at 8pm daily from Sunday 19th December 2021.  They will remain open to hotel residents but closing times may vary depending on business levels.  A Residents Bar is currently not permitted.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is available for overnight guests, the charge is €30.00.  Prior to returning your vehicle all interior surfaces and keys will be sanitised.

Check in and Check out

Marriott Bonvoy members are encouraged to use the Mobile Application to access Mobile Check In, Marriott Mobile Key as well as the interactive chat facility to communicate specific requests with our front office team.

Contactless payment options and email receipts are encouraged. When this is not possible payment terminals will be sanitised between transactions.

Guest rooms

In our guest rooms, we have elevated our rigorous protocols to thoroughly clean all surfaces with hospital-grade disinfectants. Sanitisation kits with disinfectant wipes will be placed in each guest room for guests use.

In addition to training on housekeeping and hygiene protocols, hotel associates have also completed enhanced COVID-19 awareness training.
